As COO, Dan is responsible for overseeing company operations and procedures, which includes guiding the BBCP team to successful execution on the firm’s existing projects, ensuring timely and accurate investor communication, and managing, coaching and maximizing the performance of BBCP’s team members. On a day to day basis, Dan continues to draw on his experience in development, acquisitions, asset management and finance to execute the firm’s real estate strategies.
Dan has been an active participant in the institutional real estate community since 1998. From 2009 through 2015, he was Vice President of Asset Management at Dividend Capital Diversified Property Fund, a Denver based REIT, where he supervised the firm’s Eastern Region asset management team which operated over 40 office, industrial and retail properties that comprised over 6.0 million SF of product and totaled over $1.4 billion in asset value. Dan has also held positions with Lowe Enterprises (Denver), NorthMarq Capital (Denver) and Ryan Companies (Minneapolis).
Dan is a former board member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association as well as the Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (“NAIOP”). In 2017, he chaired NAIOP’s annual Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge event, NAIOP’s largest event of the year. He is a frequent volunteer at Denver’s Sun Valley Youth Center.
Dan received his bachelor’s degree in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s James A. Graaskamp School of Real Estate in 1998.
During his free time, Dan can be found backpacking, trail running, fly fishing, skiing/snowboarding, playing guitar and spending time with his wife and three sons.
