Jay Hardy

Responsibilities

Jay draws upon his 20+ years of development experience to lead the entitlement and development efforts of BBCP’s 475-acre Redtail Ridge development. On a daily basis, he collaborates with various project stakeholders, including municipalities, design teams and various consultants to ensure the successful implementation of the project's business plan. Outside of Redtail Ridge, the firm regularly utilizes Jay’s experience in development, construction and metro district financing as a resource for other BBCP-owned assets and prospective opportunities.

Experience

Throughout his career, Jay has worked extensively with university, private-sector, quasi-government, and public-sector parties. He has overseen the development and implementation of operations for various multifamily, hospitality, retail, office and industrial projects, and even a 375,000 square foot event center. Before joining Brue Baukol, he served as President of Brinkman, Vice President & General Manager at McWhinney, the first Director of The Ranch & Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Executive Director of the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority, and as Director of Marketing for Colorado State University Athletics.

Professional & Community Involvement

Jay is a former Chair of the Colorado Governor-appointed State Workforce Development Council (2011-2017) and he currently sits on the PVH/MCR Foundation Board and the BBVA Bank Northern Colorado Advisory Board.

Education

Jay holds a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and a Master’s degree from University of Northern Colorado.

Personal

Jay was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and comes from a family of 6 boys. In his downtime, he passionate about cycling (road and mountain biking) and spending time with his family including watching and participating with his kids in lacrosse, biking, soccer and motocross.
